am i an atheist ?

the extent of SIVAJI fever has forced the die hard fans of RAJNI to pour milk packets on the photos and cut-outs of RAJNI... and this act led to a lot of controversies... when half of the population of the country is below the poverty line is that right to do such things...
i think its definitely an idiotic thing....
well... i wanna extend my arguement with hindu mithology...
every day million litres of milk are used for ABHISHEKAM to our GOD'S and GODESSES...
is this custom an healthy one...?
instead of offering these milk packets to GOD we can as well give it to the people who are really in need of it... as HELPING HANDS ARE BETTER THAN HANDS THAT PRAY...

well vishwa u r rite...n wid ur arguement am reminded of another incident...way bak in 1996(not sure of the year though) there was a fire spread rumour tat lord ganesha was drinking the milk tat was offered to him...as a consequence...every ganesha temple was "HOUSEFULL" wid ppl carrying litres n litres of milk..jus to test if ganesha was drinkin "their offerin" too...this had a lot of scientific reasons behind...hw stupid can ppl turn...am not an atheist...but am against these stupid religious practices...my prayers again r...

good one vish..but what abt the religious sentiments of the section of society u mentioned..u havent taken them into consideration...they might say that u r trying to curb their religious freedom..

just extending ur point of feeding hungry mouths..how abt we stop the mad spending on our armed forces and ensure that the money, energy and resources are used for more meaningful purposes.

hey.. my first visit over here..
1st of all, tht was a very thoughtful suggestion! and it s absolutely true. i can accept that part of u'r write up ref. to abhishekam on rajini cut outs n stuff.. bt this temple abhishekam? i am neither theist nor atheist! agnostic. but i think we already have enough trouble over religion in our country. this will only lead to more controversy!
we can never tell ppl wht they must do n wht not! say the right thing, we bcme the wrong ones! instead, we can only change ourself- do whtevr we can do to the needy n set an example to others!
bottom line: gr8 thought! completely fit for a blog post! not practical though! :)
